San Diego Wine Tours

San Diego Wine Tours by Limo, SUV & Party Bus

San Diego wine tours surprise people. You do not have to leave the county to spend a day tasting, because Ramona Valley, San Pasqual Valley, Highland Valley, Escondido, and Julian are all inside an hour of the coast. Masterpiece Limousine has been driving these back roads for more than 30 years under TCP15412-A, so your group tastes, eats, and takes pictures while somebody else handles the two-lane turns and the parking.

Where do San Diego wine tours actually go?

Most of our itineraries stay in one of three pockets. Ramona Valley and Highland Valley hold the biggest cluster of small family estates. Escondido and San Pasqual Valley cover the larger, better-known properties along Highway 78. Julian adds apple country, mountain air, and a completely different feel. We also run tasting-room crawls through Little Italy, Miramar, and Solana Beach for groups who want to stay urban.

How long is a wine tour in San Diego County?

Four to six hours is the sweet spot for three wineries with a lunch break. Julian and the far end of Ramona run closer to seven or eight hours because of drive time. Because the wineries here are close together, you spend more of the day tasting and less of it on the freeway than you would going north.

How much do San Diego wine tours cost?

San Diego wine tours are quoted hourly with a minimum, and the rate depends on the vehicle and the day. Weekends price above weekdays and fill first. Tasting fees are paid at each winery and are not part of the transportation quote. Call (858) 483-5466 with your date, headcount, and pickup address for a flat number before you commit.

What vehicles are available for a wine tour?

A luxury sedan or SUV suits two to six guests. A stretch limousine handles eight to fourteen. Larger parties usually take a Mercedes Executive Sprinter or a party bus so everyone rides together and can move around between stops. Coolers and glassware come along. See the full fleet and we will size the vehicle to your group.

Should I pick San Diego wine country or Temecula?

Pick local if you want more time in tasting rooms, smaller pours from owner-operators, and a shorter day. Pick Temecula wine tours if you want big patios, live music, resort restaurants, and a classic wine-country skyline. Some groups do both across a weekend, and we are happy to build the two-day itinerary.

Do you arrange tastings, lunch, and multiple stops?

We help plan the route and the timing, and we strongly recommend calling ahead for reservations once your party passes six people. Several Ramona and Julian wineries are appointment-only. Tell us where you want to eat and we will build the stop in so the day does not turn into tasting on an empty stomach.

Why hire a chauffeur instead of driving yourself?

Ramona and Julian are winding, rural, and poorly lit after dark, and nobody should be tasting and driving them. Chauffeured San Diego wine tours remove the designated driver problem, the navigation, and the parking, and they keep the whole group in one vehicle with a licensed, insured operator instead of scattered across three cars.
